Automated partner onboarding programme to welcome, nurture and accelerate learning for new Arrow Fortinet partners.

Arrow, a global IT distributor selling Veritas products and solutions via their channel partner network.
CHALLENGE
Partner sign-ups are the lifeblood of IT vendors, but keeping partners engaged with vendor products is a constant challenge. Arrow required a process for recruiting Fortinet partners that would also nurture long-term relationship development.
THE BRIEF
- Create a process that would accelerate Fortinet’s partner recruitment programme and build long-term growth
OUR SOLUTION
THE IDEA
- Create an automated onboarding process that will fully engage new Fortinet partners, giving them a sense of value by achieving education and certification milestones.
- 3 tracks were developed, with partners tasked with exercises across Sales, Marketing & Technical, and drawn from both Arrow and Fortinet.
- Multiple people from a partner could enrol, but the partner status was measured by overall company progress.
THE PLATFORM
- Oracle Eloqua
THE PROCESS
- A landing page was built using Eloqua, asking partners to register for the Sales, Marketing or Technical tracks.
- Once registered, the participants would be encouraged via email to complete tasks.
- As the participants progressed through the programme, the next set of activities were automatically issued.
- The progress of each participant was tracked via Eloqua, 90% of which was automated based on click-thru.
- 'External' achievements (such as Fortinet certifications) were also captured into Eloqua on a weekly basis, helping the participant build their status
- The participants were sent a progress update every 30 days showing completed/outstanding tasks.
OUTCOME
- Increased partner engagement and enablement
- Improved sign-up rate of net new Fortinet partners working with Arrow
- Potential for programme to be extended across EMEA
